Fujitsu America, a high-tech company offering business technology services and computing platforms worldwide, selected DBI Architects to design their new CEO/Exec office space located in Reston, Virginia.
DBI collaborated closely with Fujitsu’s CEO and staff members in multiple locations across the country, resulting in a long-lasting, mutual camaraderie. From the beginning, DBI faced challenges such as tight design and construction schedules as well as limited accessibility, as Fujitsu is located on the building’s second floor, directly above the building lobby and restaurant spaces. DBI worked diligently, keeping Fujitsu’s needs in the forefront, resulting in a clean and contemporary, high-design office space for a high-tech company.
The workplace is detailed with high-end millwork incorporated throughout, and boasts a state-of-the-art Tele-presence Room used for remote meetings with Fujitsu offices overseas. DBI coordinated with the building’s owner, Boston Properties, to finish the attached 1,800 SF terrace to create an extension of this lively open space. Bold colors combined with wood accents provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere to Fujitsu’s new office.
