DBI team members, Michael Hartman, Jill Albers, Beth Todd, Marcy Trepke and Holly Schaertel were among the 700 volunteers who came out to renovate the Congress Heights Recreation Center in Southeast D.C. for DCBIA’s Community Improvement Day.  The area now houses a completely renovated park and recreation center. Neighbors say these are much-needed improvements for community safety including a new promenade between the basketball and tennis courts, a community garden and pavilion for picnicking, play zones and a colorful mural, among many other upgrades.
