The Warrior Dash is a 5k race with obstacles incorporated into the run. This is an event takes place all over the world and the Warrior Dash Organization is joined with St. Jude Children’s Hospital to help fund and promote their facilities and research. This year, Price Modern was gracious enough to organize a team for local Washington, DC area Interior Design Firms to participate in the 2012 Warrior Dash located in Budds Creek, Maryland.
Custom Fitness Concepts set up boot camp training sessions for the participants to prepare for the race, and the Warrior Dash Organization provided transportation to and from the event. They also donated $30 dollars to The Wounded Warriors Project in honor of each participant, totaling $3,000 for this event! DBI Architects had a team of three interior designers participate: Farihah Saleem, LEED AP, Melissa McClannahan, NCIDQ, and Moon Choi, LEED AP. Participating in the Warrior Dash was a challenging but fun and rewarding experience that our team members plan on participating in through the coming years.
